Next week is Thanksgiving. Some of us are excited it is finally here, while others of us can’t believe it is already here. Some of us enjoy all of the traditions surrounding Thanksgiving. Others of us will be creating new traditions. It is a wonderful time and a terrible time.
I challenge you to spend time each day, from now through Thanksgiving weekend, to write down (or type) something for which you are grateful; find gratitude in each day.
“Gratitude is a constant attitude of thankfulness and appreciation for life as it unfolds. Living in the moment, we are open to the abundance around us and within us. We express appreciation freely. We contemplate the richness of our life. In life’s trials, we seek to understand, to accept, to learn. Gratitude is a continual celebration of life.”
Let us live into the moment, realizing God holds us and has us through the good and the bad. We are God’s. And God is ours. May we be filled with gratitude this season.
